Welcome Sedalia Fire Inspector and Children's Book Author, Jacob Carver, to the library!
Jacob Carver, a proud uncle and firefighter has completed his new book, "ABCs of Firefighting": establishes a fun connection for kids and firefighters.
Carver shares, "Do you want to learn your ABCs and discover the cool secrets of the fire service? The ABCs of Firefighting is just the book for you! Read about fire trucks, how fire departments run, all the cool tools firefighters use, and much more."
Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Jacob Carver's new book was written for Carver's nieces and nephews as he embarked on his path to becoming a firefighter. Carver wanted the children to be able to understand what he does every day and created this exciting journey through the firefighting alphabet for them to read.
Mr. Carver will share his book writing experience with us, as well as tell us all about firefighting! We'll even get to explore a REAL firetruck.
Weather permitting, we will meet at the lot behind the library (4th & Moniteau).
Stay for a craft after the presentation.
If you have a copy of Mr. Carver's book, bring it with you so he can sign it!
