Library Cards

Sedalia Public Library serves the residents of Sedalia. Anyone residing or owning property within the city limits of Sedalia may obtain a library card at no charge. A photo id and proof of current address are required.

Pettis County residents may obtain a library card for an annual fee of $20 per household.

Anyone outside of Pettis County may obtain a library card for an annual fee of $25 per household.


Adult Services

  • Book Delivery for Homebound Patrons (Outreach): 
    • Deliveries to Homes-If you have a library card, but can’t visit our buildings because of age, illness or disability, we’ll bring the library to you.

      We deliver library materials to:

      • patrons in senior citizen’s homes
      • the residences of people of any age who have a long term-illness or disability

      Deliveries to Retirement Centers and Other Community Facilities-

      In addition, a number of retirement homes, long-term care facilities, senior centers, food banks, group homes, fire stations and correctional facilities are often part of our regular delivery routes.

      We also can come to your home to assist you in signing up for the Wolfner Talking Book and Braille Library.
