Wednesday’s Kids – Buzzing Along

June 16 @ 2:00 pm - June 19 @ 3:00 pm

Learn about the importance of bees and then learn how to make a Mason bee hive.

Parental supervision is suggested for this activity.  You will need: a tin can or plastic soda bottle with both lid and bottom cut off, paint and a brush, hollow bamboo or bee tubes (I will show you how to make bee tubes using paper towel rolls), small pinecones (if you are picking them from the yard, bake them at 200 degrees for 45 minutes to kill the bugs), twine/string, hammer & nail.  If you are using the bamboo, you will need a saw to cut it into the correct size.
